Pole Fitness Classes

Our pole fitness classes are designed to accommodate every level of fitness from the first-time novice poler to the poler who has been spinning around for years. With over 15+ classes a week to choose from, you are bound to find a class that's suitable for you.

What to Expect

Our pole fitness classes begin with a warm-up and some gentle stretching. Once your body is feeling warm and limber it's time to let the real fun begin! You will be shown and taught an array of pole spins, tricks, combos, poses, floor work and inversions (level specific). Your instructor will guide you through each move as a group and then will offer one-on-one assistance, modifying where needed. As the lesson draws to a close you will finish off with some conditioning exercises and a final cool-down.

The Studio

Pole Power Fitness is home to six (6), professional/competition grade, stainless steel and chrome x-poles. All have over 11 ft of usable pole! In addition, all of these poles have the spinning functionality - allowing you to just focus on the moves!

We are also your one-stop-shop for all things pole! At the studio we stock the latest range of pole wear from BadKitty and Dragonfly, as well as carrying our own line of Pole Power Fitness merch. In addition we have grip aids available for you to purchase.

If you're wanting to take your new pole addiction one step further by owning your own pole - we are proud resellers of XPOLE! Purchase your pole through the studio and you will receive 10% OFF your next package of classes!

Beginner

Our beginner class is perfect for anyone who is new to pole fitness (we recommend everyone starts here). You will learn the fundamentals of pole fitness, and the correct techniques to execute a range of beginner spins, basic climbs and floor work, which will develop and strengthen your upper-body and core strength.  You will also be introduced to beginner routines to showcase your new skills.

Intermediate

In our intermediate class you will continue to develop and master the skills you have learned in the beginner class. You will progress onto refining your spins and begin working towards pole climbing and inversions. As you continue to build strength you will learn a range of combination spins, as well as new seated and aerial poses, which will further tone and define your body. INSTRUCTOR APPROVAL REQUIRED.

Intermediate/Advanced

Our intermediate/advanced classes will really focus on developing your core strength and confidence. You will be encouraged and safely taught to defy gravity in more ways than one, as you learn an array of jaw-dropping inversions, poses, spins and routines. This class is not for the faint-hearted! INSTRUCTOR APPROVAL REQUIRED.

Advanced

Pole tricks and combos covered in this advanced class require a high level of strength and flexibility. You will be challenged by linking moves you have mastered in previous classes as well as learning new dynamic moves that require 1-2 points of contact. INSTRUCTOR APPROVAL REQUIRED.

Class Requirements

Please note there are pre-requisites to attend the intermediate, intermediate/advanced, and advanced classes. You must have prior instructor approval before attending these classes. Your instructor will advise you when it is time to move up into the next level class. This is to ensure your safety, so that you get the most out of each class. If you have prior pole experience please contact us, so that we can advise and place you in the appropriate class for your abilities and skill set. If you sign up for these classes without instructor approval your reservation will be cancelled and the cancellation policy will apply.

What to Wear

Now that you have decided to come to a pole class, we are sure you are wondering what to wear?!

So that you can get the most out of your pole class we recommend that you wear shorts and a tank top/sports bra. The reasoning for this minimalist approach is for grip - the more skin exposure the better you will be able to grip the pole with your legs and arms. However, we do want you to feel comfortable but just note that leggings/yoga pants and long sleeve tops are not ideal and will lead to lots of slipping. Classes are carried out barefoot.

What NOT to Wear

In the interest of safety for yourself and your fellow polers NO LOTION is to be applied to your skin 24 hours before a pole class OR it must be showered off before class. Also, NO jewellery/rings. Underwear is not acceptable attire for a pole fitness class.

Important Information

Running Late for Class?

Due to the physical nature of pole fitness, we strongly believe in the importance of warming-up. If you are late to class you will not be permitted after the first 5 minutes, this is a safety issue. We recommend that you arrive to class 10 minutes before the scheduled class time. If you are more than 5 minutes late you will have to reschedule and the cancellation policy will apply.

Cancellation Policy

We have a 24 hour cancellation policy. If you “Late Cancel” within 24 hours of your scheduled class/course time you will be charged the full amount of the class/course. If you have purchased a package of classes a class will be forfeited. If you enrolled in a course and “Late Cancel” you will not be able to re-schedule onto another course or receive a refund. Unlimited Monthly Members will be charged 50% of the class drop-in rate. This also applies to anyone who "no-shows" a class. There are no refunds or transfers on late cancellations.

POLE PARTIES: Deposits for pole parties are non-refundable, there is no cash or credit card refund. If you do cancel a party before the 48 hour cancellation period pole parties can be rescheduled. Failure to cancel your party before the 48 hour cancellation period will forfeit your opportunity to transfer your deposit and reschedule. There are no refunds or transfers on late cancellations.

Refunds & Transfers

All sales are final and are non-refundable. Services are transferable subject to the cancellation policy. It is your responsibility to know the expiration date of any classes and/or packages that you have purchased. We will not extend the expiration date.

Age

We believe that pole fitness is for EVERYONE but if you are under the age of 18 you will need written permission from a parent or guardian.
